Skyrim - HDT Physics Extension is a free mod that extends the application of physics in Skyrim. It enables more features in the Havox physics library than are used by default.

Apply realistic physics to more materials

Skyrim natively uses the Havox physics engine, but it doesn't enable all possible options by default. Skyrim - HDT Physics Extension Mod turns on more options, including flowing hair, skirts and capes. Player characters are highly customizable in Skyrim, and this mod makes outfits fit and react more realistically.

Resolve clipping issues

By default, Skyrim collision checking of clothes and hair with body models is imperfect, resulting in clipping issues for things like long hair and capes. This mod resolves a lot of clipping issues, by making things like ponytails and capes billow and fall naturally on character models. However, some noticeable clipping still occurs, particularly with custom models and the environment.

Enhance your gameplay experience

Skyrim - HDT Physics Extension can be combined with other similar mods, such as Skyrim - Realistic Ragdolls and Force to enable characters and objects to move and react in a more realistic manner. This difference is particularly noticeable during combat, where close-ups and slow-motion shots help highlight the more realistic movements.

Replace pre-made animations

By default, Skyrim relies on pre-made animations to make flowing clothes and hair move. This results in some issues when these animations do not fit the flow of hair or clothing on certain models, particularly ones with unusual proportions. This mod replaces pre-made animations with real physics simulations that makes for more realistic flow and animations.
